Playground Haven

Playground Haven is a recent project that showcases an impressive makeover of a steep yard for a large young family. With no previous landscaping, it was a clear slate from the outset. The project involved creating an astroturf playground with a custom swing/activity bar, and an in-ground trampoline. Hardscaping included natural retaining walls with steps from the main yard to the upper play area. The choice of plant materials needed to be carefully considered, to balance dramatic contrasts while also suiting the elevated well-drained site.
